Training for LEJOG with less than 4 weeks to go

Le Marche is a fantastic place to cycle if you like wide open spaces, rolling coutryside, mountains and vineyards. It is mostly undiscovered by Brits (and most of the Northern Italian population) but the scenery and weather can be fantastic

We are training for Lands End to John O Groats cycle ride in 12 days. We have been training in Le Marche (not really a hardship apart from 40C degrees) and now have 4 weeks before the ride begins. We kick off from Land's End on 24 Sep and we are still busy trying to rack up the kilometers/miles trying to build endurance. Thunder Thighs is an apt description as we down For Goodness Shakes, Clif bars and a daily dose of pasta and pesto. Sarah is still loving the hill climbing

I am happier when we discover a flat road (very rare in Le Marche unless in a valley where most of the ugly industry and retail parks can be found)
